[Liz isn't sure what's going on or how the heck she ended up in the room she's now standing in, but she is nore than a little bit alarmed. The last thing she remembered was helping Chloe escape the Edison Group's facility. The chaos of the demon summonings and people dying ..]

[She looks around the room, only vaguely taking solace that this place looks different than any of the Edison facilities she's been in so far.]

[Then she sees the journal sitting on the small desk and walks over to it. She's not thinking at first and simply reaches for it, expecting her hand to pass right through it .. when it thumps right into it.]

What??

[Cue Liz just kind of staring at the book for several moments before lifting it to read.]

[She spends the next several minutes figuring out how to post something.]

Umm .. Hi, am I doing this right? Wow .. okay, this is really crazy. And I mean really crazy, and please believe me when I say I know crazy.

Ahh .. [She trails off, watching as the words appear in the journal as she says them.]

Okay .. that's cool .. not even going to lie about how cool that is. Does it work like this for everyone? Umm .. is there an everyone? I mean, this is way too advanced for the Edison Group .. So, there's other people here too, right?

Umm .. okay, so .. introductions, I guess? My name's Liz .. annnnd .. I guess this Deior guys is a pretty powerful wizard or something right? 'Cause .. I'm supposed to be dead ..

[Unfortunately Liz hasn't tried to open the door yet, or she'd find that she's quite possibly still very much her former ghostly self. Someone is will likely suffer a pretty big disappointment when she realizes things aren't quite as they seem..]

[Liz blinks as Sollux's voice pipes through the book, accompanied by letters that seem to be transcribing him as well.]

Whoa .. cool! Umm, hi there. Yeah .. dead .. the ex-living .. recently deceased .. Or at least I was. I shouldn't be able to pick up things with my hands or anything, but here I am doing it and not with my telekenisis or anything! And I can, like, totally see myself; and it's been a while since I could do that.

Soo .. I seem to be pretty up and alive .. again!

[And she sounds pretty excited about it, doesn't she, Sollux?!]

*Wait, no way, she sounds way too...happy to be a ghost. Unless Deior's tricks bring people back to life when they get here as well as if they die while here.*

Yep .. well .. I was. I'm really not sure what's going on right now, cause, like I said .. I'm not supposed to be able to pick stuff up. I'm not supposed to be, like, solid.

[She's happy for both reasons, Sollux. To be alive again right now is pretty cool, but she was also pretty chill with being dead. She had her own duties in their messed up little family, after all.]

[Then she laughs. She actually laughs.]

Yeah, I kinda figured that much out. Not everyday I appear in .. what the hell is this, anyway? Is this a castle? Oh. My. God. Please tell me this is a castle!

[Because wizards and castles and being alive, omfg!!]

[Oh, HI, new voice! She watches as Ezra's words transcribe into the journal the same way as the other guy and her own words did.]

Well, I guess that answers that .. I mean, like, the whole .. words appearing in the book as you talk thing. I wasn't sure if I got, like, the newest edition of 'The Dead Girl's Journal' or if this was all inclusive in every version.

Well, that's good then .. I think .. I mean, like, at least we're all on the same level, anyway..

Well, the wizards I know, no .. but he was just a teenager and still, like, learning stuff. I don't know if it's something wizards would, like, normally do .. but I think it's something an experienced or older wizard might do. I mean, it's just as likely as anything else, isn't it?

[Yes, she sounds ecstatic about that... but then her tone changes at the end of her question to one of hesitance and uncertainty. Was it possible?]

[The excitement cannot be missed and she's practically bouncing as she speaks.]

CHLOE!! CHLOE!! Oh my god!! You're here too?! I knew there wasn't anything to worry about! OH. EM. GEE! Like, this is suddenly SO much less unfortunate! Where are you guys?! Everyone is here, right?

[She is in hardcore :D mode just now.]

[And then she is bouncing.]

OH MY GOD, I KNOW!!!! Chloe .. CHLOE .. I'm holding the book. It's in my hand and I'm not using my powers or anything! I can see my hands! Like, this is totally unreal!!

[Cue Chloe freaking out also--just in a bit of a 'there has to be a catch omg how will I break it to her this time, way. She's too hopeful that maybe this place was able to bring her back, however. She didn't know how the Keep worked. Best to tread carefully.]

[A bit of a laugh.]

Yeah, I'm here. Not--not everyone is, though. So far it's just you, me, and Derek.

[She frowns on her end, clearly worried, but knowing Liz she wouldn't appear too down-heartened by this. She hoped.]

You--you can touch it?

[And there's awe in Chloe's voice right now. Whatever was going on, it had better not be some cruel joke, because Chloe didn't want Liz upset later on once they got home. If Liz would want to go home. Worry creases between Chloe's brows. She distinctly remembers a conversation about boys they had, and how cheated she assumed Liz must feel to never really experience all that. If someone was messing with Liz, Chloe would not be a happy camper.]

[Of course there's a catch. There's always a catch to things like this and Liz had seen enough movies in her day to know it. Even so, it was hard to not be excited to hear from a member of her own version of the Scooby Gang!]

[There is only the briefest of pauses as Chloe tells her who's here.]

Oh .. well, that's two more than I thought were here just a few minutes ago! And if, like, we're here now then Tori and Simon could show up at any minute.

[See? She's totally positive about all this .. for now.]

[Then she bobs her head and even if Chloe can't see her, the exuberance will practically fling itself off the pages at her friend.]

YES! Like, touch touch! Like, I'm holding the journal in my hands right now! I'm bouncing up and down .. on the ground .. and feel the floor under my feet.

[She hadn't felt for a pulse or anything yet, though. Who would think of something like that under the circumstances?!]

My friend used to be dead too. Now she's back and completely fine.

[Well, not completely fine. She's still dealing with some issues here but he's trying to help her through that.]

[Liz perks up a bit at this, leaning over her journal as she speaks.]

We she, like, just dead or was she, like, a ghost?

[It's an important distinction .. maybe this place was bringing back ghosts, or maybe it was bringing back anyone that was dead overall. Maybe it had nothing to do with any of that .. Liz had no idea, but it might be important to know ..]

[It takes Derek a moment to place her voice, because it's been so long since he actually heard it, but he recognizes her name right away.

And then she mentions the Edison Group, and yeah, it has to be her.]

Liz?

[Part of him's still trying not to get his hopes up, because after months of being here, it'd started feeling like it'd be too much to hope that he'd get to see not only someone from his world, but one of the few he actually likes.]

[Liz was already elated to have learned that Chloe was here, but to have another all too familiar voice pipe up was almost overwhelming after the grim things she'd been told about this place.]

DEREK?! OH. EM. GEE!! Derrek, where are you?! Chloe said you were here too, but oh my GOD!!

[Can you hear her bouncing, Derek? Cause she's quite literally bouncing in place right now.]

[It is her. And he's got a million questions - like how he can hear her, for one - but he doubts she has the answers. At least, not to that one, considering he's pretty sure Deior's behind that. And the rest of them, he doesn't want to ask over these things.]

You talked to Chloe? Good.

[As for where he is...well, he's pretty much hiding. But for Liz, he'll venture out.]

I'm on the second floor of the barracks. Where're you?

[At some point Liz might pick up on the need for secrecy and wariness, but for now she's just thrilled to find out her friends are still alive .. and, well .. that she is too! She nods to herself before realizing that Derek can't see her, not really grasping that it's gotta be weird for him to be able to hear her again after close to a year of being dead.]

Yeah, she asked where I was .. umm, but I'm not sure what floor I'm on.

[She pauses a moment to look around then recalls the number outside her door.]

OH!! There's a number on my door .. ummm .. 2133. That help you at all?

[Liz's eyes widen just a bit as she receives a video response this time instead of simply audio as she had been.]

Whoa .. Like .. that's wicked cool! I know you're not, like, a weird spirit or something, but this is totally like a dvd or something .. Sooo cool!

[It takes some fooling, but soon enough Liz has the video function figured out and is beaming up brightly from Claudia's page.]

Oh, wow .. this is, like, wicked neat! Yeah, um, hi, Claudia! [She waves, still beaming.] I know crazy, believe me .. but it, like, doesn't surprise me to hear that things are pretty weird here, too.

[She then pulls a face and shakes her head.]

No, definitely not a zombie .. been around plenty of 'em in the past, but that is sooooooo not me.

[She's surprised but hey that means there is so much less to explain.]

[Liz looks more than a little relieved to actually see another person, even if it's just through some weird video feed through the journal. She grins brightly at Claudia's quip, nose wrinkling in amusement.]

Wow .. if that's just one of your talents, I better buckle down and prepare myself for, like, grandness, right?

[She grins a bit wryly then, giving half a shrug. The latter might not have been voiced, but liz picks up on it.]

Well, there was, like, a time I thought I was legit nuts .. Like, totallllllly bonkers .. but it turns out that was what the folks that ran the Lyle House wanted me to think .. I am, most definitely, not bonkers! All the stuff that I thought was, like, some crazy poltergeist was just my own telekenisis being all out of control. I got that worked out after I died, though, so no fear!

[Doesn't that just sound a bit scary?! :D]

[She actually laughs and shakes her head.]

Noooooo, I totally don't need convincing about zombies .. they are, like, most definitely really real.

[A moment's pause and she looks just a bit uncertain.]

Are there, like .. a lot of zombie issues here?

[Cause Liz kinda sorta has a bestie by the name of Chloe who kinda sorta raises the dead and it's happened by accident before ..]
