[Liz isn't sure what's going on or how the heck she ended up in the room she's now standing in, but she is nore than a little bit alarmed. The last thing she remembered was helping Chloe escape the Edison Group's facility. The chaos of the demon summonings and people dying ..]

[She looks around the room, only vaguely taking solace that this place looks different than any of the Edison facilities she's been in so far.]

[Then she sees the journal sitting on the small desk and walks over to it. She's not thinking at first and simply reaches for it, expecting her hand to pass right through it .. when it thumps right into it.]

What??

[Cue Liz just kind of staring at the book for several moments before lifting it to read.]

[She spends the next several minutes figuring out how to post something.]

Umm .. Hi, am I doing this right? Wow .. okay, this is really crazy. And I mean really crazy, and please believe me when I say I know crazy.

Ahh .. [She trails off, watching as the words appear in the journal as she says them.]

Okay .. that's cool .. not even going to lie about how cool that is. Does it work like this for everyone? Umm .. is there an everyone? I mean, this is way too advanced for the Edison Group .. So, there's other people here too, right?

Umm .. okay, so .. introductions, I guess? My name's Liz .. annnnd .. I guess this Deior guys is a pretty powerful wizard or something right? 'Cause .. I'm supposed to be dead ..

[Unfortunately Liz hasn't tried to open the door yet, or she'd find that she's quite possibly still very much her former ghostly self. Someone is will likely suffer a pretty big disappointment when she realizes things aren't quite as they seem..]

[At some point Liz might pick up on the need for secrecy and wariness, but for now she's just thrilled to find out her friends are still alive .. and, well .. that she is too! She nods to herself before realizing that Derek can't see her, not really grasping that it's gotta be weird for him to be able to hear her again after close to a year of being dead.]

Yeah, she asked where I was .. umm, but I'm not sure what floor I'm on.

[She pauses a moment to look around then recalls the number outside her door.]

OH!! There's a number on my door .. ummm .. 2133. That help you at all?

[That's all right. Derek's more than aware enough of it for the both of them. And Chloe, too. He frowns a bit when she doesn't know what floor she's on, not sure how he's going to find her - his usual method won't work, not when he's not sure she'll leave a scent, and even if she did, he doesn't know what it is.

But then, awesome, room number. That works.]

Yeah, that helps. You're right nearby, actually. Give me a few seconds.

[And he heads out of his room, down the hall to hers, and then is knocking on her door.]

[Well, it's good that someone is still trying to treat this all carefully and remain mindful that they're definitely not at home and some degree of caution should remain.]

[She smiles brightly as Derek responds that she's near where he already is, finding a bit of relief in said fact. It was nice to know she'd be pretty close to her friends when it came down to it.]

I'll be here!

[When he arrives, the door is already open a crack, as she had been waiting for Chloe as well. She looks in the direction of his knock, brightening visibly as she walks toward the door.]

Derek?

[He pauses anyway, though the door's open, not wanting to walk into someone's room if it's not Liz - not particularly out of any sense of not wanting to be rude, more because he doesn't really want to talk to anyone else.

But when he hears her voice, he pushes open the door and heads inside.

And then actually gives a smile, because he can see her, which he hadn't been expecting, even after hearing her voice.]

Hey, Liz.

[As Derek appears in her doorway, Liz is beaming, practically bouncing in place.]

You can see me!! YOU CAN SEE ME!! OH MY GOD!! This is, like, the best day ever!!! Seriously!!

[Her face just might crack wide open with how widely she's grinning right now. Then she is able to give him a proper once over, eyeing him up and down and up again. She then gives him a proper thumbs up with both thumbs, beaming.]

Looking good, Derek!

[This isn't heavy handed flirting, just .. Liz being Liz.]

[The grinning happiness is somewhat infectious. Derek's smile doesn't fade, even as part of him cautions that this is too good to be true, that Deior can't really have brought her back to life. But he can definitely see her, which means something, and he won't try to crash this for the moment.]

Been awhile, hasn't it?

[That actually startles a soft, slightly surprised chuckle out of him.]

Can't say that's something I've heard often. It's good to see you, too.

[Oh Derek, of course it's not as easy as Liz hopes it to be, and certainly not as clear cut! Why would Deior have her come back any different than she actually is, despite the fact that it just might have made her sooooooo happy! Can't have that can we?

But for the mean time, she can at least think everything is great!]

God it, like, feels like it's been forever even if it's only been a few days!

[Months? Why no, she hasn't learned that yet! :D

Then she laughs, beaming widely at her friend and fellow supernatural.]

See me! 'Cause you can and that's, like, wicked cool!

[And that last bit turns his slight smile into an actual grin for a moment.]

Yeah. Cause I can, which is pretty awesome.

[But then what she just said about the time sinks in, and he frowns. Well, here's part one of cluing Liz into things.]

Days? Liz, Chloe and I have been here for over three months now.

[Yeah, positivity has a way of being totally contagious like that! :D

She's beaming all the while .. up until Derek informs her about how long they've been here.]

Wait .. what?! How .. like, how can that be? I like, totally saw you just two days ago when we blew out of town.

[Can you see her confusion, Derek?]

[Well, crap. He's not entirely sure what to think of that. On the one hand, he'd been hoping to ask after Simon and his dad, make sure they were doing okay. But on the other, it was probably a good thing, that no time seemed to have passed.]

I'm not sure. Time works weird here. Chloe and I got trapped in the tunnels under here once, and we thought we were down there for only a few hours, but it turned out to be about a month up here.

[Liz frowns slightly as she takes this all in, her eyes widening as he fills her in aboutthe tunnels.]

Sollux told me about the tunnels... I'm glad you guys, like, made it out safely, even if later than you expected. Do you know anything about monsters??

[Because if the tunnel thing was true then the monster thing was probably true too, right?]

You talked to Sollux, too?

[There's a distinct lack of, well, anything negative in his voice there. He likes Sollux, well enough, anyway.]

Yeah, me too. And a bit. There's plants in the forest, that attack you. And there's a giant octopus thing in the lake. There's also stuff in the tunnels, but those generally aren't easy to access, so you don't have to worry unless you go looking.

[She nods.]

He was one of the first to talk to me, yeah. He seems, like, pretty cool and low key.

[Then she listens, eyes widening a bit as Derek lists off some of the things here.]

Whoa, whoa... A giant octopus? What is this? Like, a bad horror movie or something?

He is. Some of the people here aren't bad.

[He cracks a bit of a smile at that.]

That's what Chloe keeps saying. It seems like it, sometimes.

[Liz didn't miss that, Derek. She chews on her lip for a moment before responding.]

Some? Are there people I should avoid, Derek?

[She sighs and relaxes back against the wall, shaking her head.]

It just seems surreal, you know?
