**4** [Audio]
[Activating her audio feed as was typical these days, Liz interjects a bit of her own holiday goodness.]
So, I know it's not, like, everybody's thing and that some of you, like, really don't care, but...
I think Christmas is, like, awesome and I'd love to, like, arrange some caroling or something if anyone is interested. Maybe, like, decorating the barracks common room or something.
Ummm... Staff people... are there any, like, ornaments or garland laying around that I could, like, use? If not, I could totally, like, cut out snowflakes and stuff, I guess...

Yeah, Christmas carols... I did it every year before I died and it's, like, a tone of fun!

Yeah... a few months ago, I'm afraid. But it's not, like, too big a deal! I got to hang around as a poltergeist, and that's, like, pretty cool.
[No, really. She sounds totally cool with this.]

It sure had been that, for sure. Can't say anything really compares to, like, the first time you walk through a wall... or even better... a person.

Well, like, back on Earth it didn't feel like anything really. I just kinda, like, went through things all willy nilly and that was, like, just how things were. Other people might've said that I made the room cold or, like, made their skin cold or tingly when I did it.
Here, though...
[She bites the inside of her lip, trailing off before continuing softly.]
Here... here it feels, like, weird to me if I pass through something or someone. It's uncomfortable and it's like stuff has substance again...
[She doesn't get into how things tingle in almost 'pins and needle' kind of way; a manner that was going to unknowingly get worse the more she passed through things.]

Yeah, I'm kinda, like, thinking the same thing. I'm Liz, by the way...

[audio] 4 ever and stuff
Well, they're not, like, real snowflakes, obviously... they're paper ones. It's all in how you, like, fold the paper. Once it's folded, any cuts you make in it are, like, symmetrical or something.
When you, like, unfold it, it looks like an oversized snowflake.
txt4lfy, etc, etc
:Db
Yeah! You, like, tape them up to the walls, or string them up around a room. It's, like, totally pretty looking and adds to the general wintery ambiance... or something like that.

Liz listens to his explanation of what she's said, never sounding a bit phased by any of it.]
Well, it won't feel any colder in here just because we, like, hang paper snowflakes. It'll just, like, make the atmosphere a little more festive, you know?
Sure, the outside winter is cold and everything, but it'd be nice if, like, the inside was all decorated.

*Cause he's really not liking it so far.*

Then she smiles to herself, the motion audible in her tone.]
Well, presents, yes, but, like, also the spirit of giving and love and all that.
[FLUSHED FEELINGS!!]

Let me know what you'd like to do, Liz. Or if you need any ideas.
Chloe! Oh my god, that would, like, be so totally great! We could decorate the barrack common room, and like, the kitchen and our rooms! We can make it, like, a total winter wonderland!!! If you've got ideas, like, let me know, cause I'm totally open to other ideas and stuff, too!
Will do! I'm sure I can think up a few things. I've done some set design in the past, so we could probably make some decorations, too. It'll be great! I'll stop by in a bit to run some ideas by you, okay?
[Maybe she could get Alex to help, if he wasn't busy and was willing.]
Oh my gosh, Chloe! That would, like, be so totally great! yeah, I'm in my room, so come on by, like, whenever!

She's beams brightly as she appears.]
Well, you can't, like, bring real snow in to decorate with. So, we make these fake snowflakes instead. To bring, like, a touch of winter inside as well as out.
[It makes perfect sense, right, Ezra?? :D ]
[Video] It is always a video party with Liz!
[Grump grump. Ezra haet winter.]
[Video] Only so long as people keep it going. A party of one is no party at all!
Awww... not a big fan of the winter, Ezra?
[Her tone is genuinely concerned, not mocking or teasing.]
[Video] True that!
Can I get you anything?
And summer.
[Mostly that last one.]
Well, I think I can manage the first couple of things, but, like, I'll need to work on the last one. Can you, like, give me a month or two?
I guess. For you.
[Audio]
[Snowflakes. Really.]
If you must decorate, then you may do so, but you will need to make your own decorations.
There are instructions on how to weave garlands and wreathes in the library, and fresh evergreans, holly, ivy and twin in the apothecary at the top of Marigold's Tower.
We have not the candles to spare, so you will need to make those too, should you require lights. Wax and wicks can be found near the hives.
I suggest you find someone to help you.
[She makes no mention of a tree. A tree is a foreign enough concept to her, and it means a trip into the forest. For something so trivial as this, she will not make an offer on another staff-member's behalf.]
[Audio]
She makes not of everything she's told, however, because the process sounds amazingly fun, if involved.]
So, like, if I need help with the hives, who should I, like, ask? Just, like, one of my friends, or, like, another of you staff people?
[She was pretty sure she could handle the other stuff, but wax and bees... ugh. AND, she hadn't met any of the staff members in person, so that could be fun.]
[Audio]
As it is, another guest is as likely to have more experience in bee keeping than any of the staff here.
[Nieta or Dos could do it. But they have more pressing uses for their time.]
[Audio]
Okay, I'll, like, ask around... I don't want to bother the bees or anything.
[She was a ghost and all, but beestings sucked and she didn't want to find out how well she'd really feel the stings. Ouch.]
Umm, like, thanks for replying... I appreciate the suggestions.
[Bees... ffffffff. Who would help her deal with bees?]
