[Like many others, Liz left her room without her heart. Sure, she'd considered bringing it with her, but she was a poltergeist and had a tendency to turn ghosty without warning. The last thing she wanted, after the whole pumpkin thing, was to have the heart jar break and shatter or otherwise damage the heart.

She didn't know the effect it would have on her.

She's currently sitting near the lake, mindless of the weather or of anyone that might be around.

She'd liked being a lizard girl.]

I liked it better when I was, like, a lizard, Ezra... at least I was solid.

How do you keep from, like, losing your mind or killing people, Sollux?

[Liz, like IB, left her heart where it should have been safe enough... only not quite the case. The Keep just wasn't making it easy to determine the best thing to do when curve balls were thrown.]

Must be nice to just, like, come back from the dead.

[Liz sighs softly, brows knitting in consternation.]

Well, they're jerks and I think you're, like, just fine the way you are.

Of course I am. If those fucks can't handle fixing themselves I'm not going to bother listening to them trying to 'fix' me.

[Liz pulls a face at this.]

Some of us just stay dead one way or the other... and, like, when this place decides to make you solid, it just takes it away from you again without any more warning than it, like, gave to you. It's just, like, a big fucking game to Deior and I hope he's having a great fucking time with it.

[A soft snort at this.]

Some of the people here, like, are a total mess... it'd be like asking a first grader to fix your computer; good luck with the end results.

Or like when he stopped making my darned voices USEFUL but still fucking makes me hear them.

He chuckles at that, though. No idea what a 'first grader' is, but he gets the picture.*

[But, oh, the mention of the body switch reminds him, Tetsu never told Ezra what he changed into, did he? Did he already hate him back then? Ezra looks like he's about to cry. Giving your jar-heart to a guy and letting him eat it will do that.]

[Liz raises a brow at all of this, lips pursed slightly.]

Ezra. People like you and I'm pretty sure nobody, like, hates you.

[The whole fucking world is upside down.]

[Because, seriously, she might just close the fucking journal right now if he cries. Cannot deal with that shit right now.]

[Liz snorts softly, canting a brow slightly.]

You should be happy that hearing them was, like, ever useful. Yeah, it sucks that they're not anymore, but at least they weren't just gibberish the whole while, right? I mean, it'd, like, be great if they were back to normal and all, but still...

[This is fact, but she's still scowly. Sollux, why you so miserable, boo?

She snorts, nodding again with a smirk.]

Agreed. Doesn't keep everyone out of your business, but it, like, totally helps.

Right. Because knowing who was about to die was a wonderful ability. Even more so when no one would listen to me about what they said or the fact that they were going to die soon. Not to mention the fact that they're so fucking loud I can barely even think even when I can fucking understand them.

*And he's not even heartless! Well, any more than usual.*

[Liz listens to all this and her brows rise a bit.]

You had to deal with that shit, like, all the time, Sollux? Shit... I don't know why, like, someone wouldn't take you seriously. Hardly seems like something you'd be dealing with because it's a grand old time.

Do all of you guys have to deal with that?

[Liz makes a face and when she speaks, it's not pity in her voice. Sollux has never seemed to be the sort to appreciate pity or any sort and she's less inclined to offer it than ever right now.]

That sucks... man... aren't you, like, the lucky one.

Except I'm also the only troll in the universe, so I guess it fucking evens out.
