[Liz knows what it can mean when you haven't heard from someone in a while. Needless to say, she feels silly following up a group of similar posts that have all ended rather poorly.]
Ummm... Hey, Ezra... you're, like, still around, right?
[Because there will be a ridiculous amount of b'aww happening if not.]

[Ping. Liz is calling.]
Huh? Yeah, I'm here.

[Relief, thy name is Liz. Liz lets out a huge sigh of relief, switching to video.
Ezra, you are looking at, flat out, the most relieved dead girl in the entire multi-verse.]
Ezra, like... oh my god. All these people were, like, disappearing and, like... I was worried you were gone, cause, like, I hadn't heard from you at all.
[She just might be blushing... but that might not be happening. Nope.]

[Oh, whoops. Ezra looks sheepish, knowing full well that he's been scarce.]
Sorry. I guess I was doing the same thing I told Zhaneel not to do, huh? I didn't mean to make you worry.
no subject
I dunno Zhaneel... but it's okay... I'm really just happy you didn't get, like, eaten by the darkness or die horribly or anything.
[Because that was possibly the worst week ever.]

[Ezra remembers the fog monsters from Vertiline. The memory is not pleasing.]

Well... I dunno if it, like, really eats you, but you can disappear in it and end up somewhere else completely. Like, Sollux and I were stuck in a room without light for, like, six days! It was creepy!
no subject
So that's what happened... when the lights went out here that time. And you're just stuck in a room? How did you get out? You did get out, right? I mean, you're here now, but...
no subject
Yeah, that's what happened. First there was like, these dark tunnels and you couldn't really see anything and, like, the darkness seemed to muffle my candlelight. When my candle blew out I ended up in a room with Sollux. I, like, don't even know how I got that lucky, but I did.
We, like, just sat there for days... I mean, we talked a bit, but he was super cranky and, like, app depressed about life in general.
Then, like, we just... weren't in the room anymore. I was, like, back out on the walkway headed where I was before I vanished.

[Ezra grins. Sollux's pain is his pleasure.]
I guess it's not that bad, though, if you get out of the room fine. It could've been way worse.
no subject
Well, it seems to be, like, his default, you know?
[She contemplates his answer and purses her lips.]
Well, I guess in the run of things it, like, wasn't terrible. I mean, if it had been longer it could have been bad... Like, I didn't want to sit there and watch him starve to death or anything.
[The thought is sobering and wipes any trace of a smile from her face and voice.]
[That was because he was talking to you, Ezra. Because you are so easy to get reactions out of.]
...Has that happened to anyone?
And then... ugh, that question.]
Yeah, so far as I've heard... and Sollux was one of them. He got trapped in the tunnels and lost and ended up trapped down there until he starved to death.
[Well that sounds unpleasant.]
...At least people come back here. I guess.
Re: [Video]
[Damnit Ezra, you brought that small smile back once again.]
Well, I suppose there is definitely, like, a bright side to that side-effect.
[She appreciates you looking on the bright side, bb.]
